A large, bright orange carrot packed full of flavour. The standard New Zealand 'straight sides and blunt tip' carrot. Well suited for both spring/early summer sowings and later sowings for harvesting during winter/early spring.

Planting Instruction
  • How to Sow: Choose a well-drained site in full sun. Sow these seeds directly in a warm, well prepared seedbed. Sow seeds thinly in rows 30 cm apart and to a depth of 1 cm.
  • Seedling Care: Keep seedbed evenly moist during the germination period 14-21 days. Apply vegetable fertiliser two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum crop. Protect your seedlings from slugs, snails and insect pests; go to mcgregors.co.nz for appropriate plant health and pest control products.
  • Hints & Tips: Radishes are often sown with carrots to mark the rows. Thin carrots out as you harvest. Firstly 2 cm apart then 2-3 weeks later thin to 5 cm apart.
  • Our seeds are not treated with Neonicotinoids.
  • These seeds are not pasteurised.
