Planting Instruction
  • How to Sow: Choose a well-drained site in full sun. Sow these seeds directly in a warm, well prepared seedbed. Sow seeds 1 cm apart, in rows 30 cm apart and to a depth of 1 cm.
  • Seedling Care: Keep the seedbed evenly moist during the germination period (14-21 days). Apply fruit fertiliser two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum crop. Protect your seedlings from slugs, snails and insect pests; go to mcgregors.co.nz for appropriate plant health and pest control products.
  • Hints & Tips: Radishes are often sown with carrots to mark the rows. Thin carrots out as the seedlings emerge - firstly 2 cm apart, then 2-3 weeks later thin to 5 cm apart.
  • Our seeds are not treated with Neonicitinoids.
  • These seeds are not pasteurised.
