Planting Instruction
  • How to Sow: Choose a well-drained site in full sun. Sow into trays for subsequent transplanting after frosts have ended. Can be sown direct in the garden if there is no danger of frost. Place seed 5 cm apart and cover with a fine layer of soil or vermiculite. Keep seedbed evenly moist during germination.
  • Seedling Care: Transplant seedlings to 25 cm apart, 3-4 weeks after sow date.
  • Hints & Tips: Gazanias can handle hot conditions, but do not enjoy hot and moist conditions. This leads to disease. Try leaving a small circle of bare soil around the base to encourage air flow. Once established, Gazania are very drought and salt air tolerant. Attractive to butterflies and other pollinators. Excellent for patios and borders.
  • These seeds are not pasteurised.
