Planting Instruction
  • How To Sow: Choose a well drained site in full sun/part shade. Sow seeds in trays for subsequent transplanting or after frosts, sow directly in a well prepared seedbed. Sow seeds 2 cm apart and to a depth of 5 mm.
  • Seedling Care: Keep seedbed or trays evenly moist during the germination period of 14-21 days. Apply vegetable fertiliser two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum growth and blooms. Protect your seedlings from slugs, snails and insect pests; go to mcgregors.co.nz for appropriate plant health and pest control products.
  • Hints and Tips: Lavender makes a great border plant, or even a low hedge.
  • CAUTION: Seed ins fungicide treated to minimize fungal attack during seed germination and/or as a requirement by the Ministry of Agriculture
  • Do not eat seed or feed to animals
