Planting Instruction
  • How To Sow: Choose a well-drained site in full sun. Sow these seeds in trays for subsequent transplanting or, after frosts, sow directly in a well prepared seedbed. Sow seeds 15 cm apart, in rows 75 cm apart, and to a depth of 2 cm.
  • Seedling Care: Keep trays or seedbed evenly moist during the germination period of 7-14 days. Apply fruit fertiliser two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum crop. Protect your seedlings from slugs, snails and insect pests; go to mcgregors.co.nz for appropriate plant health and pest control products.
  • Hints and Tips: For successful wind pollination, plant in a block formation rather than one row. Sow every 2 or 3 weeks for a continual supply.
  • Our seeds are not treated with Neonicotinoids.
  • These seeds are not pasteurised.
