A small spreading tree recognised by its papery red back and explosion of small fuchsia blossoms in spring. Followed by small berries ripening from Christmas through Summer. The fruit is quite delicious, and can be eaten raw or if you don�t eat too many & manage to collect enough to make a pot of jam or two.

Planting Instruction
  • How To Sow: Best sown into a tray of quality seed raising mix. Place seed thinly on surface of soil only. Do not cover seed with soil.
  • Seedling Care: Cover with plastic to conserve moisture. Remove plastic often to alloe ventilation. Keep moist throughout the germination period. Germination can be slow & erratic as seedlings grow provide increasing quantities of lights and fresh air.
  • Hints and Tips: Soak seed overnight. Spread seed between laters of wet paper towel. Seal in a plastic bag with plenty of air space. Keep moist. Refigerate at 2-5C for 4 weeks.
